Arizona law requires that a child reach the age of 5 on or before August 31 for kindergarten. The law allows districts to permit early entrance if they choose to do so. Peoria currently will test students who turn the required age between (and including) September 1 and October 31 for kindergarten.

Early Entrance Kindergarten 2021There is a $60 non-refundable testing fee due at the time of scheduling your appointment. To be admitted to Kindergarten, early entrants must score a minimum developmental age of 5 years 2 months in language, 5 years 0 months in problem solving and 5 years 0 months in motor skills; they must also achieve a passing score in an early literacy screener.
